FIGHT BOREDOM & GLOOM - PLAY!

Your STRONG Challenge continues by rediscovering Play! Research affirms that we are STRONGER when we are having fun; remember the number of times in a day you laughed as a kid? Remember feeling invincible? What about now?

This week we will add to our fitness goals two tall servings of fun. God designed us to smile, laugh, and joke. Rediscovering your joy will add to your foundation of strength. You were made to PLAY!

 
 

STRONG ACTIVITIES

 

AT HOME

  • Family Board/Card Game Night

  • Play a game of Hide & Seek

  • Wii or Nintendo Switch Family Game Night


YOUTH or FAMILY FRIENDLY

IN-PERSON OUTDOORS

  • Play Outside for 20 Minutes

  • Play a game of Hide & Seek

  • Find a playground

  • Bike ride on the Rock Island Trail

  • Fly a Kite

  • Play Catch

  • Play backyard games - Bags, Washers, Kubb, etc.


IN-PERSON

  • Group Exercise Class - Click here to reserve your spot or use the PeoriaYMCA App

  • STRONG Kids @ the Y - M-F from 4-7pm;
    Ages Kindergarten-14

  • Visit the Y’s Wellness Center - 20 Minutes

  • ZUMBA Dance Party on Monday or Thursday mornings!
