REST
Your STRONG Challenge continues with finding ways to REST!
RECLAIM YOUR HEALTH
“A Good Night’s Sleep”…is a GREAT IDEA!
Whether your version of REST is to nap, chillax, or turning in early for a full night’s sleep - we need REST.
Why does REST always seem to get put on the back burner of our 1,000 MPH-paced lives?
We all fall victim to not falling asleep at a regular time, ignoring quiet time with prayer and/or meditation, or not designating a REST or ‘Sabbath’ (God’s way of saying REST!) day for our week.
This week, we reclaim our health with power naps, sleeping in, quieting our minds…this week, we REST!
(Scroll down for this week’s STRONG ACTIVITIES)
STRONG ACTIVITIES
Keep up with your fitness activities - 20 minutes/day for five days each week - but now
we want you to be mindful of your need for REST. Make a conscious effort to get the REST
and rejuvenation you need today so that you can be STRONG tomorrow!
ON YOUR OWN
MEDITATE - Unplug for a 10 minute minimum. Do everything you can to be still, rest your mind and monitor your breathing.
PRAYER WALK - take a 10 minute prayer walk. Connect with God and meditate on forgiveness, the STRONG Challenge, and this week…thankfullness!
TAKE A DAY - preferably Sunday and DO NOTHING. Rest, chillax, rejuvenate, take 6 naps. Limit kid screen time is totally acceptable while you regroup for another week.
UNPLUG TECH - for at least 20 minutes, bundle up and sit outside, or find a cozy nook where you can be alone with your thoughts. Journal your experience.
